TBPPM Highlights | Day 4 at The Union Conference
Day 4 Union
Another day with many interesting sessions! For PPM it was the day of posters “H3: Systems for private, corporate, and public sector engagement in TB - E-Posters”. So many TBPPM colleagues presented their work with great illustrations, data and a variety of models showcasing the impact of PPM interventions, including from Pakistan, Nigeria, India.

In the symposia digital management was highlighted “PPM hub: A catalyst for digital TB management towards proactive healthcare” and lessons from Lagos, Nigeria were shared on the use of (digital) x-ray in private settings. Later in the day, Uganda colleagues presented the Impact of integrating private motorbike riders into the National Specimen Referral System in central Uganda. So much to learn from each other.
The evening had two interesting PPM events. The India NTEP held a session titled “Incentivizing TB Care in The Private Sector and Providing financial support to TB patients: Lessons from NTEP of India.” Presentations focused on incentives and enablers, the PPSA scheme and the strategic measures taken by the NTEP India. Learnings from India in instituting incentive schemes are presented to promote cross-learning.

USAID Health System 4 TB (HS4TB) hosted a side-event on TB financing, presenting a new financing tool allowing TB programs to assess their own domestic financing inputs and processes. The country panel gave great insights in the different successes and gaps around the globe.

The TBPPM Booth allowed for another day with many visitors, side-meetings, and information-sharing between members in the Community Connect area! Please share your experiences on the Conference and learnings on PPM : [email protected].
