Union Conference – Last Day Highlights
The final day of the Union World Conference on Lung Health began with a paper poster presentations. Dr. Rakesh PS from India delivered an insightful session on facilitators and barriers for TB notification by private providers in India, sharing results from a systematic review and meta-synthesis.
This was followed by an oral abstract session focusing on a holistic approach to curative and preventive TB measures. The session featured eight speakers, with notable highlights including the district-based PPM approach to increase TB notification and an innovative strategy involving Amchi informal providers in Ladakh.
Later in the day, Dr. Sunil K. Khetarpal visited the TBPPM booth and provided positive feedback about the initiatives showcased, emphasizing the importance of public-private engagement in TB care.
Finally, the day concluded with the closing ceremony, where participants reflected on the conference's successes and collaborations. The announcement of Copenhagen as the venue for next year’s conference added an exciting note to end the event.
