TBPPM Highlights | Day 3 at The Union Conference
Day 3 was another full day with amazing sessions in the program. So nice to keep meeting people from the TBPPM community, hear their presentations, posters and see them at the booth! We can’t cover all, but below are a few spotlights on PPM we heard today.

Several presentations and abstracts highlighting PPM interventions, including the work in VietNam with pharmacies, Nepal’s sample transportation with drones, and a full session with great abstracts “Engage private sector for TB prevention and care”.

So much to learn from each other. Listening to the many excellent posters gives you a glimplse of the great work happening in engaging private laboratories in Nigeria, involving traditional and informal leaders, transport-mechanisms that facilitate private providers in their TB diagnosis, incentives and enablers, and overall impact and outcomes of PPM initiatives. A small collection below, include the Mercy Corps Pakistan team talking to colleagues in India about the ‘Riders’ – Sample transportation mechanism.

In the evening, USAID and FHI hosted an eveing with the Indonesian National TB program, highlighting the partnerships with corparate hospital chains in the country. Hundreds of thousands of clinicians, pharmacists and nurses in these private hospitals have been trained, coached, supported to End TB. The political commitment and public-private partnerships were beautifully illustrated throughout the evening.

Come find the TBPPM Booth in the Community Connect area! And please share your experiences on the Conference and learnings on PPM : [email protected].
