Here are a few highlights from Day 2 – 13 November 2024
As part of the many sessions on day 2, participants got insights into active case-finding that highlighted the “low-hanging fruit” of engaging health facilities. Many great examples of TB screening and testing in communities, private hospitals, engaging traditional and informal healers. A fully packed plenary highlighted “Access to medicines and diagnostic” in which pharmaceutical and product development companies were urged to lower prices to increase accessibility, amongst other access barriers that were highlighted.
Poster sessions were so well attended that you had to find your way in a big crowd listening to the speakers. Many excellent posters were presented, and several highlighted PPM:
The Community Connect Session on Empowering Communities in Public-Private Mix Models for Ending TB in India was held with great participation and many questions and interactions with the audience. Thanks to Mohana (IPH, community manager TBPPM India) for coordinating an amazing session with great speakers from REACH, IIH, TB Alert, KHTP
The TBPPM Booth is up in the Community Connect area and it is wonderful to meet many members of the community. Come pick up some bookmarks, a key-chain and materials from the India chapter.
