Read the highlights of the 1st TBPPM Virtual Town Hall
On December 8, 2021, the TBPPM Learning Network conducted its first virtual town hall. 90 people registered for the event and nearly 40 members attended on the day. We had immense participation and insightful discussions on how the TBPPM Learning Network has been contributing to private sector engagement in TB and what could be the key priorities for the community in the upcoming years. Here are some of the highlights from the meeting.
The meeting began with Prof. Madhukar Pai welcoming everyone followed by Hannah Monica Dias sharing the journey of the TBPPM Learning Network from concept to implementation.

The participants had the opportunity to hear from Tanuja, Arti, Shabnam, Saba and Harshita about their latest song that addresses the challenges faced by a person with TB and the call to act immediately. The song is available here. If you like to dance for this song, send us a video and we would be happy to post it on the TBPPM Learning Network youtube channel.

Members who have been active on the TBPPM Learning Network offered well-spoken feedback on the impact of the community in learning and interacting about TB and PPM. Great points were put forth by our panelists Keyuri, Abraham, Nii, Anirudh and Ramya.

The other participants were also part of the discussion. Their response to ‘one-word about the TBPPM Learning Network’ is compiled into a word cloud below. ‘Learning’, ‘networking’ and ‘sharing’ were the most used words to describe the TBPPM learning network.

The community manager of the TBPPM Learning Network, Petra Heitkamp along with India Project Officer Kusum Moray presented about the progress made by the Learning Network over the past two years.

Guy Stallworthy from BMGF and William Wells from USAID were appreciative of the efforts taken by the TBPPM Learning Network and triggered an important discussion on ways to align with the National TB programs in the upcoming activities.

The top 10 active members in 2021 were appreciated for their wonderful participation in the TBPPM learning network.

The meeting concluded with a wonderful snapshot of all the community members who were able to make it to the Townhall.

A huge thanks to all who were part of our first town hall. We look forward to connecting with each of you on our learning network and working together to End TB.
Together we can make quality TB care available for all people by all providers!
