Survey to update WHO Toolkit to develop a National Strategic Plan for TB prevention, care and control

Published on March 31, 2021

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global TB Programme (GTB) is undertaking an update of the Toolkit to develop a national strategic plan for TB prevention, care and control, published in 2015. This document is expected to be published in 2021.

In preparation for the development of the updated toolkit, the WHO GTB has developed a short online survey to better understand the current needs, challenges and practices of those involved in the development of TB national strategic plans.

The OBJECTIVES of this survey are:

  1. To collect feedback on the challenges and best practices for the development of a TB national strategic plan,
  2. To assess respondents’ preferences regarding the content of the updated toolkit

The survey will target staff working in National TB Programmes, WHO Regional and Country Offices, non-governmental actors, civil society organizations, affected communities and patient representative groups involved in the development of NSPs and technical and financial partners.

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. All responses to the survey are anonymised, and the results will be kept confidential and will only be for internal WHO use, solely for the purpose of informing development of the revised toolkit.

Please feel free to share the survey link with additional persons within the national TB programme or with colleagues within your organization, who you think could provide useful inputs.
