Do private providers in your country have easy access to TB diagnostic tests? How does it work?

Published on April 25, 2025

In our efforts to leave no one behind, we need to detect TB early, ensuring that people affected by TB receive diagnosis, care and support with the provider where they seek care, whether in the public or private sector. Shorter TB pathways in the primary healthcare level with quality TB care are less costly for patient and program, reduce the risk of spreading TB in the community, and reduce the risk of developing resistance to TB medications. Besides saving lives and reducing harm in the community, a shorter patient pathway and care at the primary healthcare level makes economic sense. Early intervention is cost-efficient, and outpatient costs are less than hospital care. With this background in mind, we'd like to hear from you.
