
Leadership Transition at TBPPM LN India Chapter

We are delighted to announce an important leadership transition within the TBPPM LN India Chapter that marks a significant milestone in our journey towards ending tuberculosis (TB) in India. As we embrace change and renewal, we bid a fond farewell to Dr. Vijayashree Yellappa, our outgoing Chairperson, and extend a warm welcome to Dr. Ramya Ananthakrishnan, who steps into the role with great enthusiasm and a vision for the future.
Since the inception of TBPPM LN India Chapter in 2021, Dr. Vijayashree Yellappa has been at the helm, guiding us with her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment. Under her stewardship, the network has grown to encompass over 680 members across various sectors, fostering a vibrant community united in the fight against TB. Dr. Vijayashree’s strategic initiatives have not only advanced our mission but also strengthened public-private partnerships essential for our success.Her efforts in institutionalizing the TBPPM network by establishing the national secretariat at the Institute of Public Health, Bengaluru, have laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth and impact. We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Vijayashree for her transformative leadership and substantial contributions to our community.
As we turn a new page, Dr. Ramya Ananthakrishnan steps in as the new Chairperson of the TBPPM LN India Chapter. Dr. Ramya brings a wealth of experience in public health, backed by a deep passion for advancing healthcare equity and effectiveness. Her leadership is anticipated to drive innovative approaches and bolster our efforts in combating TB across India. We believe that Dr. Ramya’s fresh perspective and dynamic leadership will lead TBPPM LN India Chapter towards new heights of achievement.
