The latest feature story highlights the PPMV engagement model by KNCV in Kano State in Nigeria. The engagement process was carefully designed and involved multiple key stakeholders such as the State TB program and the National Association of Proprietary and Patent Medicine Vendors (NAPPMED) to maximize the participation of the PPMVs.

Delphi Survey on offering additional (non-TB) services to people with TB and/or HHCs
This survey aims to explore the opportunities and challenges of offering additional (non-TB) services to people with TB and/or their household members. We are not asking about TB-specific screening, diagnosis or care, which is covered by WHO guidelines.

2023: A Pivotal Year for Global Health - TB cannot be overlooked anymore!
In a landmark year for global health, three significant United Nations High-Level Meetings (UNHLMs) are taking place in 2023: the UNHLM on tuberculosis (TB), the UNHLM on Universal Health Coverage (UHC), and the UNHLM on Pandemic Preparedness and Response (PPPR). In response to this urgency, the TB-affected community and civil society have united to endorse a petition advocating for the inclusion of strong language around the aforementioned areas in the political declaration.

Union Conference: Transforming Evidence into practice
Every year for 53 years, The Union World Conference on Lung Health has come together to present the latest scientific research in all aspects of lung health. Generating new evidence from research projects and presenting the results or publishing it in a journal is not enough. We need implementation. We need research converted into practice. We need to strive for evidence-based health policies and decisions.

Register for WHO’s courses on TB
Using latest adult learning principles, the courses consist of a combination of videos, presentations, quizzes and case studies and build on information provided in WHO operational handbooks on TB and other WHO guidance documents. They are free of charge and can be taken at your own pace. A certificate can be downloaded if you achieve a 80% score or higher in the final assessment.

Advanced TB Training Course
The University of Washington Advanced TB Research Training Course will cover diverse topic in TB research, including the current understanding of TB pathophysiology, diagnostics, therapeutics and prevention, immunology and vaccine development, transmission dynamics, implementation science, and disease modeling. In addition, the course will cover special topics, including TB maternal and child health and people living with HIV.
