Global Fund Grant Cycle 8 Information Sessions

Published on November 25, 2025

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to share an important update: the Global Fund is launching a series of information sessions to support preparation for Grant Cycle 8 (GC8). These sessions will cover everything from application procedures to strategic prioritization, and they are designed to help us navigate the process effectively (see the table below).

Why this matters now:
The GC8 launch comes at a critical moment for global health. As the Global Fund seeks to raise US$ 14 billion at its Eighth Replenishment Summit, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, there is growing concern about underfunding, which could put progress against HIV, TB, and malaria at risk. South Africa is more than just a host: as co-host with the UK, it is central to global solidarity efforts, leveraging its G20 Presidency to drive momentum behind this campaign. African diplomats have also reaffirmed the continent’s commitment, pledging their support ahead of the summit.

What we can do:

  1. Engage with the GC8 information sessions — this is where strategy meets execution.
  2. Use insights from the replenishment context to inform your proposals: make the case for sustainability, innovation, and leveraging catalytic investments.
  3. Amplify the urgency: share the relevance of the Replenishment Summit within your networks — this isn’t just another cycle, it’s a make-or-break moment.

Here are the session and registration details. Please only register for those sessions you are interested in attending.
